Pupils may be out of school for a variety of reasons.
Following discussion on the suitability of this service for the student, Blake-Hammond Education offers support for pupils in collaboration with parents and/or local authorities.
Each student is given an assessment and programme of study for all core subjects (English, maths, science) with additional options for KS2 and KS3 students.
Students are given the following resources with which they may access key aspects of the National Curriculum for England and Wales:
- Individual support from qualified teachers throughout.
- Regular tutorial sessions.
- Laptop computer with programs to support distance learning between tutorial sessions.
- Dedicated mobile telephone.
- Worksheets and marking service.
- Personal feedback between tutorial sessions via post, email or telephone.
- Optional GCSE mock examination setting and marking service.
- Optional advice on sitting examinations as external candidates.
- Optional coursework for GCSE.
